I strongly dislike Science

Can I just tell you that I hate science? Maybe it's because I never understand what the H I am supposed to be learning about. I don't think my brain has the capacity to learn complex scientific information. I need to marry someone who LOVES Chemistry and Biology and is a total genius.

For all of those The Bachelor lovers-- wasn't last night a boring episode? However, I must say that it ended perfectly, when Jason gave Naomi the boot (she was kinda annoying. The part when Naomi's mom said that she predicts Jason was a mother in his "previous life" was hilarious. And then her dad... did he give anyone else the creeps? I am 100% hoping he picks Jillian. She is definitely the best! They never pick the right one. Never! Anyhoo, that's all.

W-O-W. It's 2009!

Okie dokie, sooo I was tagged. And I'm supposed to make 9 New Year's Resolutions.

1. Read my scriptures 30 minutes + a day
2. MORNING prayers
3. Get all A's this semester
4. Decide on a major (which means giving up my dream of becoming a professional taste tester)
5. Lose 12 lbs. = work out lots
6. Improve my cooking skills
7. Learn a few new songs on the piano
8. Read a few new books
9. Have fun!

Also, maybe find some NON-creepy and socially-awkward guys to take me on dates.

I hope everyone has a wonderful year!

Seriously, people.

Fact: I'm 20.
Fact: People keep asking me why I am not yet married.
Question: Why are people gettin all up in my business?
Question: Is it that surprising that a 20-year-old girl is still single?
Fact: I obviously haven't found the right one and Theory: it will possibly be a while before I do.
Unless I am 30 (with cats) and not married, I don't think you need to worry. Thanks, though. ;)

My Life During Finals

This week is bittersweet (finals=bitter, last week of school=sweet).

Thus far, I got a B (lame) on my final for my Education class. I'm mad about that, but whatev. I scored over 100% (I'm not sure how that happens) on my Psychology exam. It was an easy test, but it's still good news!

This morning I took my Math final. If I don't ace that exam I will be one angry woman. After the 10 painstaking hours of studiousness, I expect nothing less than a stellar grade. Last night-- this morning-- whatever... my head didn't touch the pillow until 4:51 A.M. Yep. I studied till almost 5 in the morning. Obviously I didn't realize the amount of time I would need to devote to studying for that exam. Good thing my class wasn't until 11.

I have only one more test left!!! My online class (honestly, I can't remember the name of the class... sad). It has something to do with the constitution and history and Nevada laws... something like that. A little advice for anyone reading this-- NEVER take an online class unless you have no choice. I HATE IT. I missed a few assignments because I always forget to log onto the website and check it. Also, online lectures are 900 times more boring than attending a live lecture. Just my $.02.

Moral of the story is that I should be studying for my online final right now. Instead, I am doing more important things like discovering I'm most like Bella from "Twilight" and that 7 out of every 10 men fall in love with me (impressive, I know!). It amazes me how much I learn about myself by taking online quizzes. Well, I assume I have procrastinated enough for one night. Time to hit the books. Wish me luck!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Let me tell you-- I absolutely love this time of year. Thanksgiving is the perfect time to think about my blessings and cherish the wonderful people I have in my life. Elder Bednar's talk "Pray Always" (I loved this talk-- so inspiring!) from the most recent conference seems very fitting for Thanksgiving. He counsels us to periodically offer a prayer unto the Lord in which we solely express GRATITUDE for our blessings and ask for NOTHING. This week I am going to challenge myself to do that every night! It really shouldn't be too difficult. I have so many wonderful blessings.

Well, I love you ALL and love Thanksgiving. It reminds me how blessed I am. Oh yeah, mashed potatoes aren't too bad either. :)

So I'm a little frustrated.

Tell me this would not annoy you:

In a span of 2 weeks, you eat very healthy. You are very aware and you make conscious decisions to eat fruits and vegetables each day. Oh, and lots of water. The occasional treat consists of Golden Spoon frozen yogurt. You exercise every single day (excluding Sunday). This exercise routine consists of 30 to 45 minutes of cardio and a half hour of weights, crunches, etc. This includes sweat. Lots of sweat. (Not to mention creepy old gym men creeping the creepies out of you.) After all of this scrupulous effort, YOU GAIN ONE FREAKING POUND.

Why do I do these things?

  1. Where is the weirdest place you have a mole? I think all of my moles are in fairly conspicuous locations.
  1. Who was the hottest teacher you ever had? “Mr. S” - student teacher in 5th grade. He was dreamy!
  1. Have you ever made out in a movie theater? No. That’s a waste of money… I can do that at home.
  1. Do you hover over the toilet in public restrooms? Yes. Unless they have seat covers. I'm somewhat of a germaphobe.
  1. What is the strangest talent you have? I can sleep with my eyes open. Also, my last minute outfits could be described as both “strange” and “talented.” I can think of more strange talents I have than useful ones.
  1. Have you ever been tied up? I don’t really understand this question.
  1. Have you ever had two dates in one night? No?
  1. Is there one thing all of your love interests have had in common? Ummm dark hair, possibly.
  2. If you had to choose to not ever wash your bed sheets again or not wash your bath towel ever again, which would you rather not wash? My bath towel. But that is disgusting.

  1. Have you ever bitten your toenails? No…? Only a very uncivilized and flexible person would do that.
  1. Do you give second chances easily? Yep, I think so!
  1. Are you ticklish? Very.
  1. Have you ever changed your clothes while in the car? Yes. Haven't you ever been late for work?
  1. What is one thing you miss about your past? I miss the innocence of childhood. Children are so honest and pure. I miss being able to be friends with everyone. I miss my wild imagination. Seriously, I came up with some crazy stuff when I was little!
  1. Favorite type of sock? White, ankle-high.
  1. Would you ever have plastic surgery? If something got really screwed up. Like if I got in an accident. Otherwise, no. What’s with everyone trying to look perfect? Embrace your natural beauty, people!
  1. What kind of impression do you give people? Hopefully a good one?
  1. Do you think everything happens for a reason? Not necessarily. The big things in life, yes.
  1. Name ONE trait you can't stand in a person. Lack of a sense of humor
  1. Do you like the rain? You betcha! Especially when it’s accompanied by thunder and lightning!
  1. What is your least favorite word? Unisex
  1. Would you or have you ever shaven your head? I like my hair.
  1. Do you walk around the house naked? Excuse me. That’s none of your business!
  1. Do you hate chocolate? What kind of a question is that? I love chocolate!
  1. Three qualities you look for in a friend: Rich, generous, complimentary.
  1. Are you sarcastic? Never.
